The Start of Chapter2
In September 2008, CyMAL who regulate the Museums, Archives and Libraries in Wales offered a grant of up to £300 to FE Learning Centres to begin a form of ‘Reader Development Group’. Coleg Morgannwg was successful in their bid and Chapter2 was born!
We meet every few weeks and discuss various books, magazines and anything else that we have recently read. The idea is to show that reading can be more than something boring to do when the TV is broken! In short, reading will never be anything other than good for you at the end of the day – it helps you improve your spelling and grammar skills as well as your general knowledge and academic skills.
If you would like to know more about the ways that Chapter2 can help or if you would like to be more involved with the group please contact Jo in the Learning Centre at Coleg Morgannwg on 01443 653655 or email Jo at js.rees@morgannwg.ac.uk
